Justice. Equality. Reflection.
Saksham Rozgar Society has been commemorating Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti with deep reflection and community engagement over the past three years. In 2023, the celebration was held at the SRS office, where participants shared their thoughts on Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy. The event was attended by 35 people and graced by C.S. Mawdi, Parveen Bagri, Bhaskar, and President Jyotika Kalra.
In 2024, the celebration moved online, featuring Dr. Shashi Rani from the University of Delhi as the keynote speaker. She highlighted Ambedkar’s role not only as a Dalit icon but also as a reformer who championed the rights of laborers, women, and the marginalized. In 2025, SRS hosted a special session with journalist Swati Singh, who reflected on Ambedkar’s enduring relevance, linking his vision of equality and justice to current socio-economic challenges. President Jyotika Kalra emphasized his contribution to women’s rights and social inclusion, also pledging legal action in support of a student whose education was denied over unpaid fees—upholding the very values Ambedkar stood for.
