National Youth Day

Inspiring Youth, Honoring Legacy

Saksham Rozgar Society celebrated National Youth Day on January 12, 2024, with an engaging online session led by Dr. Sheetal Sharma, faculty at Jawaharlal Nehru University. The event focused on the real-world challenges faced by today’s youth—ranging from career uncertainty and academic stress to the growing importance of mental well-being. Dr. Sharma offered practical strategies for navigating these pressures and encouraged young participants to embrace a more balanced, purposeful approach to personal and professional growth. The interactive format gave many attendees the opportunity to share their own thoughts and experiences, making the session both impactful and relatable.

On January 12, 2025, SRS held an offline celebration at its headquarters to commemorate the day and honor the legacy of Shaheed Sumit Roy. The event included a certificate distribution ceremony for students who had successfully completed SRS’s month-long English and Communication training. Business Consultant Mr. Udyan Matta served as keynote speaker, and Ms. Swapna Roy, mother of Martyr Sumit Roy, was the chief guest. President Jyotika Kalra addressed the gathering, drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and urging the youth to actively participate in social causes. The event also featured reflections from SRS team members and beneficiaries, underscoring the Society’s mission to develop capable, socially conscious individuals ready to lead change in their communities.
